12/1 to 12/31 ST. NICHOLAS PROJECT UPDATE

Pippa, Project Manager, continues to coordinate the raising and delivery of gifts and essentials among many organization in Austria and Germany for the displaced orphanages in our network, both in Austria and Ukraine. On 12/8, gifts raised by VM4U were wrapped by volunteers from The Feel Good Store, Volkshilfe, and VM4U. On 12/21, VM4U volunteers delivered gifts raised by the Vienna Family Network to the Kogl Orphanage (displaced from Siverskodonetsk, Ukraine). On 12/27-29, UkrAID and VM4U volunteers delivered gifts (as well as clothes and school supplies) raised by Gymnasium Schaeftlarn in Schaeflarn, Germany and Sebastian Finsterwalder Gynasium in Rosenheim, Germany (both near Munich) to the Mykolaiv Orphanage. Deliveries to the Mureck and Zhuravno orphanages and Save Ukraine are planned for January. Pippa is supported by Filipp, Yuliia, Olga, and Nathan, together with the Vienna Family Network, British Embassy, US Embassy, UkrAID, and Kleine Herzen. No VM4U donations will be used to buy gifts; VM4U donations are used for diesel and delivery costs.

12/1 to 12/31 TACMED UKRAINE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

The Tullman Family Office continues their support of diesel for TacMed Ukraine ambulances through January 2025. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and fuel card accounting. In December, TacMed Ukraine transported 334 patients using 4 ambulances and 1 bus. No VM4U donations were used.

12/1 to 12/31 MUSIC PROGRAM UPDATE

Nadiia, Music Program Manager and Instructor, continues to return refugee children to their music training. The program has 4 instructors for 9 children, thanks to volunteer instructors Joel (Saxophone), Emin (Piano), Nadiia (Elementary music), and Rosa (Guitar). The music program is a partnership with Kimu Wien (@kimu_wien) and Domivka. VM4U donations are used for instrument maintenance, instrument rental, and instruction materials.

12/1 to 12/31 TEAM VIENNA SUPPORT PROGRAM UPDATE

VM4U continues to support our partner organizations in Vienna, Poland, and Ukraine. VM4U has several ongoing projects with Operation Change and TacMed Ukraine and programs with Domivka and The Feel Good Store. VM4U continues to provide local support to YOUkraine, Matusya, Ptashka Art Project, Domivka, The Feel Good Store, Hela Flanko, Kleine Herzen, UkrAID, and Unlimited Democracy.

12/1 to 12/31 VAN PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Van Program Manager, continues to utilize the VM4U van to circulate donations, relocate refugees, support partner volunteer organizations, and deliver donated furniture in Vienna as well as deliver medical supplies and other aid to Ukraine. The VM4U van underwent repairs on 12/2 to 12/13. VM4U donations are used for fuel and maintenance.

12/2, 12/10, 12/17, 12/18 FURNISHINGS PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Furnishings Program Manager, continues to work with Olga, The Feel Good Store, to transfer furniture and appliances directly from donors to refugees on a regular basis using the VM4U van and Nathan’s van. The furnishings team, better known as the VM4U Crew, includes Pasha, Artem, Arkady, Anatolii, Jake, Jesse, Coach Oleksandr, Adam, Amir, and others, had 4 days of furniture deliveries this month. VM4U donations are used for van fuel.

12/2, 12/9, 12/16 FOOTBALL PROGRAM TRAINING UPDATE

Coach Oleksandr, Football Program Manager, and Coach Sergii continue to host football training for children ages 6-11 on Monday nights from 17:30-19:00 in cooperation with Domivka. During winter, the training occurs at an indoor facility which is free of charge.

12/9 VAN MISSION – MATUSYA SUPPORT

Nathan, driver, delivered donations to Matusya using the VM4U van. VM4U donations were used for van fuel.

12/16 VAN MISSION – HOSTEL HUTTLEDORF SUPPORT

Nathan and Sofie relocated Tetiana, elderly mother with cancer, and Liudmyla, daughter, from Hostel Huttledorf (Vienna refugee center operated by Volkshilfe) to Haus Margareten (assisted care dormitory operated by Haeuser zum Leben) using Nathan’s personal vehicle. VM4U donations were used for diesel.

12/17 VAN MISSION – TEAM BADEN SUPPORT

Nathan delivered furniture and relocated a family from Baden to Biedermannsdorf using the VM4U van. VM4U donations were used for van diesel.

12/19, 12/21 VAN MISSION – ST. NICHOLAS PROJECT SUPPORT

Nathan picked up gifts raised by the Vienna Family Network as part of the St. Nicholas Project and delivered them to the displaced Kogl orphanage. VM4U donations were used for diesel.

12/20 VAN MISSION – HOSTEL HUTTLEDORF SUPPORT

Nathan relocated an elderly man from Hostel Huttledorf (Vienna refugee center operated by Volkshilfe) to an accommodation in Krems using Nathan’s personal vehicle. VM4U donations were used for diesel.

12/27 to 12/29 VAN MISSION – ST. NICHOLAS PROJECT SUPPORT

Lorenz (UkrAID Austria), Tassilo (Teacher, Sebastian Finsterwalder Gynasium), and Rupert (VM4U), delivered gifts and essentials raised by two high schools in Germany to the Mykoliav Orphanage using the VM4U van. The aid was raised by Gymnasium Schaeftlarn in Schaeflarn, Germany and Sebastian Finsterwalder Gynasium in Rosenheim, Germany (both near Munich) and included gifts, winter clothing and school materials. The materials were transported from Vienna to Nova Poshta in Lviv and shipped to the Mykoliav Orphanage. Additionally, Oleg’s diabetic supplies, sponsored by Insulin for Life, were included in the shipment. The mission was sponsored by Tassilo, no VM4U donations were used.
