8/1 to 8/31 TACMED UKRAINE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

In August, TacMed Ukraine transported 528 patients using 15 medics and drivers from Australia, USA, Germany, Norway, Ukraine, Lithuania, New Zealand, Sweden, and Denmark together with 5 ambulances and 1 paramedic bus. The Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for TacMed Ukraine ambulances. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and fuel card accounting. No VM4U donations were used.

8/13 to 8/31 OPERATION CHANGE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

Starting 13 August, Operation Change (OC) began drawing on Tullman Family Office sponsored diesel and petrol. OC operates a system of aid donation centers in Sweden and distribution centers (i.e., vans and warehouses) in Ukraine which deliver on ‘on-demand’ style aid to their network of aid recipients in Ukraine (i.e., hospitals, shelters, schools, orphanages, aid distribution centers, etc.). The Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for Operation Change cargo vans and trucks. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and accounting. No VM4U donations were used.

8/1 to 8/31 VAN PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Van Program Manager, continues to utilize the VM4U van to circulate donations, relocate refugees, support partner volunteer organizations, and deliver donated furniture in Vienna as well as deliver medical supplies and other aid to Ukraine. The van had the turbo replaced on 8/20-8/21 in Lviv. VM4U donations are used for fuel, maintenance, and inspection.

8/1 to 8/31 MUSIC PROGRAM UPDATE

Nadiia, Music Program Manager and Instructor, continues to return refugee children to their music training. The program has 4 instructors for 9 children, thanks to volunteer instructors Joel (Saxophone), Emin (Piano), Nadiia (Elementary music), and Rosa (Guitar). The music program is a partnership with Kimu Wien (@kimu_wien) and Domivka. VM4U donations are used for instrument maintenance, instrument rental, and instruction materials.

8/4, 8/10, 8/11, 8/30 FURNISHINGS PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Furnishings Program Manager, continues to work with Olga, The Feel Good Store, to transfer furniture and appliances directly from donors to refugees on a regular basis using the VM4U van and Nathan’s van. The furnishings team, better known as the VM4U Crew, includes Pasha, Artem, Arkady, Anatolii, Jake, Jesse, Coach Oleksandr, Amir, Dima, Oleksii, and others. VM4U donations are used for van fuel.

8/4, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25 FOOTBALL PROGRAM TRAINING UPDATE

Coach Oleksandr, Football Program Manager, and Coach Sergii continue to host football training for children ages 7-12 on Monday nights from 17:30-19:00 at the Sport Center Donau City in cooperation with Domivka. VM4U donations are used to pay for field rental.

8/13 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO SUPPORT

Nathan, using the VM4U van, loaded medical supplies from the Hela Flanko warehouse for later delivery to a rehabilitation center in Ukraine. VM4U donations were used for fuel.

8/19 to 8/22 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO SUPPORT, INSULIN FOR LIFE SUPPORT

Nathan and Cathy, using the VM4U van, delivered diabetic supplies to a Nephrology Hospital doctor in Lviv as well as Helo Flanko supplies to the Warmth of the Winged Soul Rehabilitation Center near Ivano Frankivsk. Thanks to the doctor, the VM4U team quickly recovered from a van breakdown and repair. VM4U donations were used for fuel, tolls, repairs, and driver lodging.

8/24 VAN MISSION – THE FEEL GOOD STORE SUPPORT

Anatolii, using the VM4U van, transported supplies The Feel Good Store to support Ukrainian Independence Day event held at Maria-Theresien-Platz. Several thousand people attended the event which included an arts and crafts market and concert. VM4U donations were used for van fuel.

8/28 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO SUPPORT

Nathan and Cathy, using the VM4U van, loaded medical supplies from the Hela Flanko warehouse for later delivery to a hospital in Ukraine. VM4U donations were used for fuel.

8/31 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO SUPPORT

Nathan picked up Andy in Krakow in the VM4U van before continuing on to Ukraine. The van team delivered Hela Flanko supplies to a hospital in Ivano Frankivsk. Also, the van team delivered Oleg’s diabetic supplies, including insulin pumps, to an endocrinologist in Lviv for further distribution to patients in eastern Ukraine, and blood sugar sensors for a diabetic child in Kharkiv. VM4U donations were used for van fuel, tolls, vignettes, and driver accommodation.
