10/1 to 10/31 TACMED UKRAINE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

In October, TacMed Ukraine transported 393 patients using 12 medics and drivers from Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, UK, USA, and Ukraine together with 5 ambulances and 1 paramedic bus. The Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for TacMed Ukraine ambulances. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and fuel card accounting. No VM4U donations were used.

10/1 to 10/31 OPERATION CHANGE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

Operation Change (OC) delivers a rough average of 80 tons of ‘on-demand’ aid to their network of aid recipients in Ukraine (i.e., hospitals, shelters, schools, orphanages, aid distribution centers, etc.). Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for Operation Change cargo vans and trucks. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and accounting. No VM4U donations were used.

10/1 to 10/31 VAN PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Van Program Manager, continues to utilize the VM4U van to circulate donations, relocate refugees, support partner volunteer organizations, and deliver donated furniture in Vienna as well as deliver medical supplies and other aid to Ukraine.

10/1 to 10/31 MUSIC PROGRAM UPDATE

Nadiia, Music Program Manager and Instructor, continues to return refugee children to their music training. The program has 4 instructors for 9 children, thanks to volunteer instructors Joel (Saxophone), Emin (Piano), Nadiia (Elementary music), and Rosa (Guitar). The music program is a partnership with Kimu Wien (@kimu_wien) and Domivka. VM4U donations are used for instrument maintenance, instrument rental, and instruction materials.

10/1, 10/15, 10/27 FURNISHINGS PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Furnishings Program Manager, continues to work with Olga, The Feel Good Store, to transfer furniture and appliances directly from donors to refugees on a regular basis using the VM4U van and Nathan’s van. The furnishings team, better known as the VM4U Crew, includes Pasha, Artem, Arkady, Anatolii, Jake, Jesse, Coach Oleksandr, Amir, Dima, Oleksii, and others. VM4U donations are used for van fuel.

10/1, 10/23, 10/29 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO SUPPORT

Nathan and Amir, using the VM4U van, collected local medical donations in Vienna and delivered them to the Hela Flanko warehouse in Vienna. VM4U donations were used for van fuel.

10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27 FOOTBALL PROGRAM TRAINING UPDATE

Coach Oleksandr, Football Program Manager, and Coach Sergii continue to host football training for children ages 7-12 on Monday nights from 17:30-19:00 at the Sport Center Donau City in cooperation with Domivka. VM4U donations are used to pay for field rental.

10/20 VAN MISSION – HOSTEL HUTTLEDORF SUPPORT

Susan, using her personal vehicle, relocated Igor (grandson with brain tumor and sever vision impairment) and Igor (elderly grandfather) from Western Ukraine, together with their personal belongings, from Hostel Huttledorf (Vienna Refugee Center operated by Volkshilfe) to Haus Mira (government sponsored dormitory operated by Caritas which specializes in families with chronic illnesses).

10/23 MEETING WITH ELEVATE UKRAINE

Adam, VM4U Board Chair and Donor Relations Manager/Accountant, met with and attended a lecture by Roman Popadiuk, Elevate Ukraine Board Chair and First US Ambassador to Ukraine. The lecture was on rebuilding after the war while providing insights into ongoing diplomatic efforts.

10/26 NEW VM4U BOARD MEMBER

Roxy, the outgoing Schriftfuehere (Board Secretary), is returning home to the US and the incoming Schriftfuehere is Sophie. The VM4U board maintains a composition of 2 Ukrainian, 2 Austria, and 2 International members with 2 female and 4 male board members with the goal of being representative of the organization and the people we serve.

10/30 VAN MISSION – HELO FLANKO SUPPORT – IVANO FRANKIVSK

Nathan, using the VM4U van, transported medical supplies raised by Hela Flanko to Stepan Tarabalky Rehabilitation Center “Warm Wings of the Soul” in Ivano Frankivsk. VM4U donations were used for diesel, tolls, vignettes, and driver lodging.
