12/1-12/31 ST. NICHOLAS PROJECT UPDATE

On 12/20, Jon, Eva, joined Olga to wrap presents raised by VM4U for Ukrainian orphans in Austria and Ukraine. On 12/21, Lorenz, with the VM4U van, delivered the first batch of presents to the Kogl orphanage in Austria. On 12/28-12/29, Tassilo and Lorenz delivered ~190 gifts raised by Gymnasium Schaeftlarn, Maristengymnasium Furth, and Viechtach township with logistics support from UAID-Direct, Roxolani, and the Holy Salvation Church in Dnipropetrovsk, and received by the Nikapol orphanage in Ukraine as well as by children in Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Izyum. On 12/30, presents were received via post at the Mureck orphanage in Austria.

12/1 to 12/31 TACMED UKRAINE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

In December, TacMed Ukraine transported 378 patients using 10 medics and drivers from Lithuania, Norway, UK, USA, and Ukraine together with 5 ambulances and 1 paramedic bus. The Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for TacMed Ukraine ambulances. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and fuel card accounting. No VM4U donations were used.

12/1 to 12/31 OPERATION CHANGE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE

Operation Change (OC) continues to deliver aid sourced primarily in Sweden to primarily eastern Ukraine. Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for Operation Change cargo vans and trucks. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and accounting. No VM4U donations were used.

12/1 to 12/31 VAN PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Van Program Manager, continues to utilize the VM4U van to circulate donations, relocate refugees, support partner volunteer organizations, and deliver donated furniture in Vienna as well as deliver medical supplies and other aid to Ukraine.

12/1 to 12/31 MUSIC PROGRAM UPDATE

Nadiia, Music Program Manager and Instructor, continues to return refugee children to their music training. The program has 4 instructors for 9 children, thanks to volunteer instructors Joel (Saxophone), Emin (Piano), Nadiia (Elementary music), and Rosa (Guitar). The music program is a partnership with Kimu Wien (@kimu_wien) and Domivka. VM4U donations are used for instrument maintenance, instrument rental, and instruction materials.

12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 12/22, 12/29 FOOTBALL PROGRAM TRAINING UPDATE

Coach Oleksandr, Football Program Manager, and Coach Sergii continue to host football training for children ages 7-12 on Monday nights from 17:30-19:00 in cooperation with Domivka. Training has been moved to a cost-free indoor gymnasium for the winter. No VM4U donations are used.

12/1 VAN MISSION – REFUGEE SUPPORT CASE, MUTUSYA SUPPORT

Nathan and Timothy, using the VM4U van, relocated a refugee between apartments and circulated donations from donors to Matusya (Vienna children’s aid collection and distribution center). VM4U donations were used for van fuel.

12/7, 12/15 FURNISHINGS PROGRAM UPDATE

Nathan, Furnishings Program Manager, continues to work with Olga, The Feel Good Store, to transfer furniture and appliances directly from donors to refugees on a regular basis using the VM4U van and Nathan’s van. The furnishings team, better known as the VM4U Crew, includes Pasha, Artem, Arkady, Anatolii, Jake, Jesse, Coach Oleksandr, Amir, Dima, Oleksii, and others. VM4U donations are used for van fuel.

12/10 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO, CARITAS SUPPORT

Nathan, using his personal vehicle, circulated donations from Caritas and local apothecaries to the Hela Flanko warehouse. The Helo Flanko medical supply program was initiated by Ryan and Florian and is coordinated by Stephan. VM4U donations were used for fuel.

12/28-12/29 VAN MISSION – ST. NICHOLAS PROJECT, PCS FUER ALLE, ROXOLANI, UAID-DIRECT, UKRAID SUPPORT

Lorenz and Tassilo, using the VM4U van, delivered 190 presents, winter clothes, protective equipment, and 3 generators raised by local charities and PC FUER ALLE to the UAID-Direct warehouse in Kyiv for further distribution to Kharkiv Emergency Services and Ukrainian children (see St. Nicholas Project).
