9/1 to 9/30 TACMED UKRAINE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE
In September, TacMed Ukraine transported 419 patients using 11 medics and drivers from UK, USA, Germany, Norway, Ukraine, Lithuania, Sweden, Italy, and Ireland together with 5 ambulances and 1 paramedic bus. The Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for TacMed Ukraine ambulances. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and fuel card accounting. No VM4U donations were used.
9/1 to 9/30 OPERATION CHANGE DIESEL SUPPORT PROJECT UPDATE
Operation Change (OC) delivered on ‘on-demand’ style aid to their network of aid recipients in Ukraine (i.e., hospitals, shelters, schools, orphanages, aid distribution centers, etc.). The Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine, continues their support of diesel for Operation Change cargo vans and trucks. VM4U performs third-part donation verification using a system of real-time reporting and accounting. No VM4U donations were used.
9/1 to 9/30 VAN PROGRAM UPDATE
Nathan, Van Program Manager, continues to utilize the VM4U van to circulate donations, relocate refugees, support partner volunteer organizations, and deliver donated furniture in Vienna as well as deliver medical supplies and other aid to Ukraine.
9/1 to 9/30 MUSIC PROGRAM UPDATE
Nadiia, Music Program Manager and Instructor, continues to return refugee children to their music training. The program has 4 instructors for 9 children, thanks to volunteer instructors Joel (Saxophone), Emin (Piano), Nadiia (Elementary music), and Rosa (Guitar). The music program is a partnership with Kimu Wien (@kimu_wien) and Domivka. VM4U donations are used for instrument maintenance, instrument rental, and instruction materials.
9/3, 9/7, 9/20, 9/24, 9/29 FURNISHINGS PROGRAM UPDATE
Nathan, Furnishings Program Manager, continues to work with Olga, The Feel Good Store, to transfer furniture and appliances directly from donors to refugees on a regular basis using the VM4U van and Nathan’s van. The furnishings team, better known as the VM4U Crew, includes Pasha, Artem, Arkady, Anatolii, Jake, Jesse, Coach Oleksandr, Amir, Dima, Oleksii, and others. VM4U donations are used for van fuel.
9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29 FOOTBALL PROGRAM TRAINING UPDATE
Coach Oleksandr, Football Program Manager, and Coach Sergii continue to host football training for children ages 7-12 on Monday nights from 17:30-19:00 at the Sport Center Donau City in cooperation with Domivka. VM4U donations are used to pay for field rental.
9/1 VAN MISSION – LVIV – HELA FLANKO, INSULIN FOR LIFE SUPPORT
Nathan and Andy, using the VM4U van, delivered Oleg’s diabetic supplies donated by Insulin for Life to a nephrology doctor in Lviv for further distribution and medical supplies raised by Hela Flanko to a hospital in Ivano Frankivsk. VM4U donations were used for fuel, tolls, driver lodging, and transportation for Nathan back to Vienna as Andy and the VM4U van continued to work in Ukraine.
9/1 to 9/18 VAN MISSION – UKRAINE – OPERATION CHANGE
Andy, a volunteer from Texas, USA, flew to Krakow and linked up with Nathan. Together they traveled to Lviv where Nathan handed off the VM4U van to Andy and returned to Vienna. Andy, using the VM4U van, linked up with Operation Change (OC) for two weeks and helped delivery OC deliver medical supplies, hospital beds, clothes, fire extinguishers, nets, clothes, toys, and more to an orphanage, shelters, schools, aid distribution centers, hospitals, and volunteer centers in/near Uman, Pervomaisk, Dnipro, Cherkasy, Slavyansk, Petropavlovka, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. Thanks to Andy who donated to cover his costs, fuel, and recent van repairs.
9/11 VAN MISSION – RUSLAN SUPPORT CASE
Gebhard, using his personal vehicle and trailer, helped Ruslan move from an apartment to Haus Neubau (a government sponsored assisted living dormitory for the elderly operated by Haeuser zum Leben). Costs were donated by Gebhard, no VM4U donations were used.
9/11 VAN MISSION – DIAKONIE SUPPORT
Nathan, using his personal vehicle, circulated donations in Vienna for Diakonie. Costs were donated by Nathan, no VM4U donations were used.
9/22 VAN MISSION – HELA FLANKO SUPPORT
Nathan, using the VM4U van, circulated donated medicine for Hela Flanko. VM4U donations were used for van fuel.
9/23 GREEN CROSS MEDEVAC TOURNIQUET SUPPLY PROJECT INITIATED
A large supply of tourniquets and pouches were sponsored by the Tullman Family Office, with 501c3 support from Elevate Ukraine. Delivery is pending in 4-6 weeks. No VM4U donations were used.
9/23 TACMED UKRAINE MEDICAL SUPPORT PROJECT
Adam provided regional procurement support of medic backpacks from a US based supplier thanks to US and Danish sponsors.
9/25 ST. NICHOLAS PROJECT INITIATED
Eva, St. Nicholas Project Manager, has started the annual tradition of raising Christmas gifts for Ukrainian orphans in Austria and Ukraine.
