4/20 JULIIA SUPPORT CASE UPDATE
Juliia passed away this morning at home, rather unexpectedly. This photo was taken yesterday. Volunteers have been working with Juliia and Oleksii routinely to the support Juliia’s medical recovery. Juliia was a volunteer in Kharkiv in Oleg’s diabetic supply chain and was a T1 diabetic herself. Together they saved countless lives. Juliia came to us in Vienna on 4 Aug 2024, together with Oleksii, for life-saving dialysis and an eventual kidney transplant. Her kidney failure was a result of her diabetes. Juliia was remarkably positive, happy, and joyful everyday and has left a significant impression on all the volunteers and people who knew her particularly because she was so positive and joyful despite the world around her. Juliia was 34 and adored by all.
